Workshops and conferences run by the Highlander-Dunn Institute present the latest information, strategies, research and practice to teachers and parents in the region who support children who learn differently. Events strive to broaden the information base of participants, introduce programs and interventions, offer practical strategies, outline local & regional resources and allow participants to network.

2010 Learning Differences Awareness Conference: Paula Malone, principal of BF Norton Elementary in Cumberland, presents the 2010 Literacy Leadership award to Deborah Rude (her reading coach) along with Highlander Dunn Director Cathy Sanford.
